Stage of World Cup of rhytmic Gymnastics BelSeissBank 2009
From August 21 to the 23, 2009, Minsk once again hosted the World Cup "BelSwissBank" in rhythmic gymnastics.
Traditionally, the event arouses great interest among professionals and amateurs of this sport from different countries. This year in Minsk all the leaders in the gymnastics from 30 countries gathered.
The two day event brought many medals to Belarusian gymnasts and justified the hopes placed on our team. Belarusian Melita Stanyuta won 1 silver and 4 bronze medals. In addition to third place in the all-around, that was won on August 22, our compatriot won all four awards in certain types of exercises, including in the composition with a rope Melita Stanyuta ascended the 2nd stage of pedestal.
But the Russian gymnasts were absolute winners in individual and group performance. Among the "individuals" was the undisputed leader of Russian team Evgenia Kanaeva - in all four speciailties, she won gold medals.
Italy was also competing with Russia and Belarus. In the exercise with a hoop Italians took second place, and with a rope belt.
In addition to medals of the World Cup in particular some of the brightest participants received prizes from the organizers of the contest: "Miss World Cup «BelSwissBank» was won by the Belarusian Lubov Cherkashina, the title of first vice-miss was won by Irina Rizensohn from Israel, the second runner up was an athlete from Poland Johana Mitrosh . Belarusian Svetlana Rudalova received the title "Miss Elegance". A judge from Slovenia Shpela Dragos became miss-judge of the World Cup in Rhythmic Gymnastics.
At a press conference on the World Cup of Rhythmic Gymnastics, you could talk to the victorious of the tournament: Eugenia Kanaeva, Melita Staniouta, Olga Kapranova and Darya Kondakova .
Eugenia Kanaeva and Darya Kondakova, unlike other participants visited Minsk for the first time and were impressed by the public, which welcomed Russians even better than the Belarusians. Melita Stanyuta first performed at the World Cup and says: "To perform at home country is even more difficult than in other countries, because the competitions are visited by relatives - the most important critics and I feel a great responsibility to them. But today, I think I coped with the task".
In the evening, after the competition, fans of the Belarusian participants of World Cup stage were pleased with "The show stars the world of rhythmic gymnastics." Through the line of fabulous action was the theme of the Earth, the year of which included now Belarusians. via the images of plastic sketches were presented four elements: fire, water, air and land. In addition to the Belarusian gymnasts in the thematic performance took part teams from Russia, Hungary, Japan, and "individuals" – the Israeli Irina Rizensohn, the Swede Therese Larsen, the Italian Juliet Cantaloupe, and the Hungarian Dora Vass.
A delightful surprise was the appearance of the vice-champion of the Olympic Games in Sydney 2000 Julia Raskina. She hovered in the air above the stage, twisted hoop, throwing a silk scarf, demonstrating the versatility of her talents.
The apotheosis of the show was a 17-minute "Bolero", composed by the national team coach in a group exercise Nenasheva Tatyana. It was attended by more than twenty best gymnastic school pupils and the national team members. Athletes succeeded each other, demonstrating a variety of costumes and choreographed pas. Melita Stanyuta and Lubov Cherkashina, like the two air aquamarine waves rocked the ball-moon. Fiery red tongues of flame burst on the scene of a little less experienced friend on the carpet, and the senior girls gave them the way with a green pattern. The sun rose, a rainbow rose, promising gymnastics in this country and abroad radiant perspective.
